Our God is an awesome God. His love for us is unchangeable, unfathomable. Something we forget far too often.
Psalm 103:2 tells us not to forget his benefits, not to forget the good things He’s done for us. We have so much on our plates these days that it is hard to stop and think about that. Between work and play and friends and our electronics, moments of quiet are near impossible.
Take just this moment and look around you, look at your life. What things can you see and hear and smell that are blessings from God? Your children? Your spouse? Your car or house? The food on your table?
Psalm 68:19 says that God daily loads us with benefits. Benefits–those things that will help us, that would be an advantage or profit to us, a payment or gift given us by someone else. God daily loads us with benefits. Other translations say that He carries our burdens.
God, our Father, loves you. Yes, you. And he wants to pour out his blessings, his benefits on you. Take a moment, look around. What has he done for you today?
